What makes a sipper leak
Almost always the gasket. A silicone ring that is moulded permanently into the lid cannot be lifted out, so residue builds under it, the seal stops seating flat, and the bottle weeps in a bag. Before buying, check that the gasket lifts out with a fingernail and clicks back in.
Cleaning a sipper lid properly

Is a sipper bottle better than a normal cap?
For drinking on the move, yes — you do not need two hands or a place to put the cap down. For filling with ice or cleaning, a wide mouth is easier.
Do sipper bottles leak?
A well-made one does not. Leaks nearly always come from a gasket that cannot be removed and cleaned, so it stops sealing flat.
Can I put a sipper lid on any bottle?
