Frequently Asked Questions

Every HYV bottle and tumbler is double-wall vacuum insulated — that is the construction that holds temperature, because a vacuum has no air for heat to travel through. Cold retention runs up to 24 hours and hot up to 12, depending on the model, how full the bottle is, ambient temperature and how often the lid is opened.

HYV makes BIS-certified bottles, certified to IS 17526:2021, India’s national standard for stainless steel vacuum insulated containers.

Bottles run 750ml (CoreFlow, FlipFlow, SlimPro, DualFlow, SnapSip) and 1 litre (LuxeSip, LuxeFlow, DualFlow 1L, MagFlex), plus a 2 litre MaxFlow. Tumblers run 470ml (OpenFlow), 600ml (ChillSip, DailySip) and 1.2 litre (HydroFlow, HydroPro, HydroMax, HydroPop).

Food-grade 304 (18/8) stainless steel, double-wall vacuum insulated. There is no plastic liner and no BPA question — steel is inert, so it does not leach and does not carry taste between uses. Lids use a removable silicone gasket so the seal can be cleaned properly.

Yes. The tumbler range (ChillSip, DailySip, HydroFlow, HydroPro, HydroMax, HydroPop) is designed for hot as well as cold, with sealed sliding lids that hold heat and clip closed for a bag. The 600ml ChillSip is the sealed coffee-mug format specifically.

Insulated Tumblers with a Straw Lid

A straw changes how much you actually drink. You sip without breaking off what you are doing — no unscrewing, no tipping your head back — and most people finish noticeably more of the tumbler over a working day. That is the whole case for this lid, and it is a good one.

All three below are 1.2 litres, double-wall vacuum insulated 304 (18/8) stainless steel, with an inbuilt straw and a carry handle. ₹1,499 to ₹1,699.

The HYV insulated tumblers with a straw, model by model — capacity, price and rated retention

HYV insulated tumblers with a straw run from ₹1,499 to ₹1,699. Each model below is stated with its own capacity, its own direct price and its own rated retention, because the rated hours differ by format and one figure for the whole range would be wrong for most of it. Prices are the direct price on livehyv.com, read 21 October 2026.

HYV makes BIS-certified bottles. HYV designs and builds its own insulated tumblers with a straw, which is why every figure above is stated per model rather than per catalogue.

The three, and how they differ

Tumbler Size Made for Price
HydroPro 1.2 L Gym and daily hydration — the plainest of the three ₹1,499
HydroMax 1.2 L Wide body, Stanley-style proportions, straw lid and handle ₹1,699
HydroPop 1.2 L The same build in vibrant colours ₹1,699

What a straw lid is good at, and what it is not

  • Good: volume. If your problem is forgetting to drink, this is the lid that fixes it.
  • Good: desks, cars and anywhere you drink one-handed without looking.
  • Less good: bags. An open straw path is not as leak-resistant as a screw cap, so this is a tumbler that travels upright.
  • Less good: retention. A straw trades a little cold-hold for how easily you drink. If maximum retention is the point, a sip or screw cap beats it.

Cleaning, honestly

A straw is the part that gets neglected and the reason straw tumblers get abandoned. Rinse it the day you use it, run a thin brush through it weekly, and pull the lid apart rather than rinsing it assembled. Replacement straws and lids are stocked separately, so a lost or worn straw does not retire the tumbler.

Questions people ask before buying

Is a straw tumbler better than a normal bottle? For how much you drink, usually yes. For carrying in a bag, no — a screw or sip cap is the safer choice.

Will it fit a cup holder? These are 1.2 L wide-body tumblers. Check your holder before assuming — the slimmer DualFlow Slim is the cup-holder option in the range.

Shipping and replacement? Free shipping on orders over ₹499. No returns — a free replacement within 7 days of delivery for product issues only (manufacturing defects, damage on arrival, missing parts).
