1 Litre Water Bottles
A litre is the size most people settle on: enough that you are not refilling it through the morning, still light enough to carry all day. Below that you refill constantly; above it, the bottle tends to stop leaving the desk.
Full, a litre of water is a kilogram before you count the bottle: comfortable in a backpack, noticeable on a shoulder strap. That is the real trade against 750 ml — a litre removes the mid-afternoon refill, but you feel it on the walk.
All double-wall vacuum insulated 304 (18/8) food-grade stainless steel on both the inner and the outer wall, lead-free and BPA-free, with no inner coating or lining, so a litre of cold water is still cold at the end of the day rather than at the end of the commute. Is a 1 litre bottle too heavy to carry?
Full it is a kilogram of water plus the bottle, which is fine in a backpack or a car and tiring on a shoulder strap. The test is where it will live. If it mostly sits on a desk or in a bag you put down, a litre is the better size; if it is in your hand all day, 750 ml gets used more.
Which 1 litre bottle should I buy?
Choose the lid, because the lid decides how often you drink. Sipper for a desk, a meeting or a car — the LuxeSip. Chug for the gym and for ice — the LuxeFlow. Both in one lid — the DualFlow 1L. Magnetic, for a car mount or desk dock — the MagFlex 1L. Three of the four cost the same, so price is rarely the deciding factor here.
Can I swap the lid on a 1 litre bottle?
Yes, across three of them. The LuxeSip, LuxeFlow and MagFlex 1L share a neck, so a sipper, chug or magnetic lid fits any of the three, and the silicone boot fits the LuxeSip and the LuxeFlow. Lids, gaskets and boots are stocked as separate items so the bottle outlives the part most likely to go missing.
Does HYV make a 1.5 litre bottle?
No. The range goes 1 litre and then 2 litres, with nothing between them, and there is no 1.5 L, 3 L or 5 L size. If a litre is not enough, the next step up is the 2 litre MaxFlow with a wide mouth; if a litre is too much, 750 ml is the most carried size HYV makes.
How long does a litre stay cold?
Up to 24 hours cold and up to 12 hours hot on the four stock bottles. A full bottle holds temperature far longer than a half-empty one, and each opening restarts the clock — which is one more reason a litre outperforms a smaller bottle in practice as well as on paper.
