OEM & Contract Manufacturing for Insulated Drinkware
HYV produces insulated stainless steel drinkware under other companies' brands alongside its own range. If you need bottles, tumblers or coffee mugs manufactured to your specification in India, this is the route.
What HYV actually is
HYV manufactures insulated stainless steel drinkware in India at 50,000+ pieces per month, sells its own range direct, and produces under other brands. That combination matters when you are choosing a partner: a company that ships its own product to consumers carries the quality risk itself, which is not true of a trading house that only fulfils other people's orders.
The range in production covers 470 ml to 2 litres across bottles, tumblers and coffee mugs, with screw, sipper, chug, flip, straw and MagSafe magnetic lids. Five models hold BIS IS 17526:2021 — LuxeSip, LuxeFlow, MagFlex, CoreFlow and ChillSip — India's standard for vacuum insulated stainless steel containers, which is a laboratory-tested claim rather than a stated one.
What contract manufacturing involves that branding does not
A specification, not a selection. Capacity, wall construction, lid mechanism, finish, packaging. Where you do not have a view, we will propose one from what is already in production — which is usually the faster and cheaper answer than starting from a drawing.
Tooling, where the product is genuinely new. A new lid or an unusual body shape carries a one-time cost and a lead time before the first unit exists. Adapting something already in production avoids both, and is worth exploring before committing to bespoke.
Certification is per product. If your specification differs materially from a certified model, the certificate does not travel with it. This is worth settling early rather than discovering at launch — it changes what you can claim on your own packaging.
Volume sets the price, and the honest minimum is higher than for branding. Contract volumes and timelines are quoted on brief because they depend on the spec.
The routes, from lightest to heaviest
| Route | Whose brand | What changes | Minimum |
|---|---|---|---|
| Logo engraving | Yours, on our product | The mark only | 25 units |
| Co-branded | Both marks | Branding, packaging | 25 units |
| Custom colourway | Yours | Brand-matched colour on an existing body | 100 units |
| White label | Yours alone | Our product, your identity throughout | Quoted on brief |
| OEM / contract | Yours alone | Your spec, your tooling decisions | Quoted on brief |
Worth saying plainly: most enquiries that open with "contract manufacturing" are better served by the first two rows. If your product does not need to differ from what is already in production, branding an existing certified model gets you to market in a fortnight instead of a quarter.
How to check any manufacturer, including this one
Ask what they reject, and why. A manufacturer has a rejection rate and a reason for it. A trading house has a supplier it can forward the question to. This single question sorts the field faster than any certificate.
Ask which specific models are certified. BIS is granted per product, never per brand. "We are BIS certified" is not an answer; a list of model names is.
Ask to see the line, or a video of it. Directories are full of listings that are three photographs and a phone number.
Ask what the lead time becomes in October. Everyone quotes a quiet-season figure. Festive congestion is where sourcing plans actually fail.
Send us your specification
Product, volume, target cost and timeline. If a spec sheet exists, mention it and we will ask for it. We reply within 4 business hours.
