Every HYV bottle and tumbler is double-wall vacuum insulated — that is the construction that holds temperature, because a vacuum has no air for heat to travel through. Cold retention runs up to 24 hours and hot up to 12, depending on the model, how full the bottle is, ambient temperature and how often the lid is opened.
HYV makes BIS-certified bottles, certified to IS 17526:2021, India’s national standard for stainless steel vacuum insulated containers.
Bottles run 750ml (CoreFlow, FlipFlow, SlimPro, DualFlow, SnapSip) and 1 litre (LuxeSip, LuxeFlow, DualFlow 1L, MagFlex), plus a 2 litre MaxFlow. Tumblers run 470ml (OpenFlow), 600ml (ChillSip, DailySip) and 1.2 litre (HydroFlow, HydroPro, HydroMax, HydroPop).
Food-grade 304 (18/8) stainless steel, double-wall vacuum insulated. There is no plastic liner and no BPA question — steel is inert, so it does not leach and does not carry taste between uses. Lids use a removable silicone gasket so the seal can be cleaned properly.

A MagSafe bottle carries magnets in the lid or body so it docks to a magnetic mount — a car vent, a desk stand, a phone-style holder. The magnets are the differentiator; everything underneath is still a double-wall vacuum insulated steel bottle, and it should be judged as one.

What the magnets are and are not for
- They are a mounting feature. The bottle docks to a magnetic car vent mount, desk stand or compatible accessory, the way a phone attaches to a magnetic holder.
- They do not affect insulation. Cold retention comes from the vacuum between the two steel walls, and is unchanged by the magnets.
- They do not make the lid seal. The seal is the gasket and the closure. Test any bottle by filling it, inverting it over a sink and holding it for ten seconds.
What to check before buying
- The condensation test. Ice water, ten minutes. A genuine vacuum bottle stays bone dry outside; beading means heat is crossing the wall.
- The lid. Every surface touching liquid should be reachable with a brush. Bottles fail at the lid, not the body, and that is where smells begin.
- Mount compatibility. Check the magnet arrangement against the mount you actually own before assuming they pair.
- Spare parts. Whether a replacement lid can be bought is the cheapest test of how long a brand expects the product to last.

What does MagSafe mean on a water bottle?

Will the magnets affect my phone or cards?
The magnets are sized for mounting and sit in the lid or base. Standard care applies — keep any strong magnet away from hotel key cards and older magnetic-stripe cards.
Is a magnetic lid still leakproof?
The seal is made by the gasket and the closure, not by the magnet. Test any bottle the way you should test all of them: fill it, invert it over a sink and hold it for ten seconds before it goes near a laptop.
