Frequently Asked Questions
Every HYV bottle and tumbler is double-wall vacuum insulated — that is the construction that holds temperature, because a vacuum has no air for heat to travel through. Cold retention runs up to 24 hours and hot up to 12, depending on the model, how full the bottle is, ambient temperature and how often the lid is opened.
HYV makes BIS-certified bottles, certified to IS 17526:2021, India’s national standard for stainless steel vacuum insulated containers.
Bottles run 750ml (CoreFlow, FlipFlow, SlimPro, DualFlow, SnapSip) and 1 litre (LuxeSip, LuxeFlow, DualFlow 1L, MagFlex), plus a 2 litre MaxFlow. Tumblers run 470ml (OpenFlow), 600ml (ChillSip, DailySip) and 1.2 litre (HydroFlow, HydroPro, HydroMax, HydroPop).
Food-grade 304 (18/8) stainless steel, double-wall vacuum insulated. There is no plastic liner and no BPA question — steel is inert, so it does not leach and does not carry taste between uses. Lids use a removable silicone gasket so the seal can be cleaned properly.
Yes. The tumbler range (ChillSip, DailySip, HydroFlow, HydroPro, HydroMax, HydroPop) is designed for hot as well as cold, with sealed sliding lids that hold heat and clip closed for a bag. The 600ml ChillSip is the sealed coffee-mug format specifically.

Insulated Coffee Mugs
Vacuum insulated stainless steel coffee mugs — 600 ml sealed tumblers built for hot drinks, with lids that close properly for a bag. Steel adds nothing to the taste, unlike plastic.
The useful thing to know about an insulated coffee mug is that bigger is worse. 600 ml holds two to three cups and keeps them hot for up to six hours. A 1.2 litre tumbler of coffee stays warm long past the point it is pleasant to drink, and most of it gets poured away. 600 ml is the size that matches how much coffee one person actually drinks in a sitting, which is why both HYV coffee tumblers are that size rather than larger.
The second thing is the lid, which has to do two jobs that pull against each other: let you sip at a desk without unscrewing anything, and seal well enough to survive a bag. Both models use a slide-open sip lid — slide to drink, slide to close. That is deliberately not the chug cap used on the bottles or the straw lids on the 1.2 litre tumblers; neither is sensible for a hot drink.
Both are double-wall vacuum insulated food-grade 304 (18/8) stainless steel on the inner and the outer wall, lead-free and BPA-free, with no inner coating or lining, so nothing sits between the coffee and the steel and nothing is left to flake off. Both are rated up to 6 hours hot and up to 8 hours cold, which also makes them the right size for cold brew or iced coffee.
The HYV insulated coffee tumblers, model by model — capacity, price and rated retention

Questions people ask about insulated coffee mugs
ChillSip or DailySip?
Same capacity, same retention, same price, same lid mechanism. The ChillSip comes in seven colourways, mostly neutrals. The DailySip is the slimmer body in five warmer colourways. Pick on which one fits where you will keep it, and on colour — there is no performance reason to prefer either.
How long does an insulated coffee mug keep coffee hot?
Up to 6 hours hot and up to 8 hours cold on both models. Those figures assume a full, closed vessel. Pre-warming the mug with hot water for a minute before you fill it makes a measurable difference, and every opening restarts the clock.
Does steel change the taste of coffee?
No. Food-grade 304 stainless steel is non-reactive, and both mugs have no inner coating or plastic lining for coffee oils to soak into. That is the usual cause of a mug that tastes of yesterday's coffee — plastic absorbs oils and steel does not. A lid left wet and shut will still start to smell, so air-dry it with the lid off.
Is a 600 ml coffee mug too big?
It is two to three cups, which is a morning for most people. It is also the smallest sealed coffee tumbler HYV makes — there is no 250 ml or 500 ml size in the range. The 470 ml OpenFlow is smaller, but it is an insulated tumbler with a built-in bottle opener rather than a coffee mug.
Can I put it in the dishwasher?
Hand wash the body with warm water and mild dish soap. The vacuum seal and the exterior finish both last longer for it, and the lid rinses clean separately under running water.
Is shipping free?
Shipping is free on orders over ₹499 across India.
