Step 1: steel ki chaadar
Sab kuchh ek flat steel coil se shuru hota hai. Peene ke bartan ke liye 304 grade istemal hota hai — jise 18/8 bhi kehte hain, kyunki usme 18% chromium aur 8% nickel hota hai. Chromium hi wo cheez hai jo steel par ek patli suraksha parat banati hai aur zang nahi lagne deti.

Step 2: deep drawing
Chaadar se gol tukde kaate jaate hain. Phir ek hydraulic press un tukdon ko die mein daba kar cup ki shakal deta hai — is process ko deep drawing kehte hain.
Ek hi baar mein poori bottle nahi banti. Cup ko kai stages mein dobara-dobara kheencha jaata hai, har baar thoda lamba aur thoda patla. Beech mein steel sakht ho jaati hai, isliye use garam karke phir se naram kiya jaata hai (annealing).
Isi wajah se asli 304 bottle par magnet halka sa chipak jaata hai — kheenchne se steel ka structure badalta hai. Log isse nakli samajh lete hain, jabki yeh bilkul normal hai.
Step 3: do shell aur vacuum
Insulated bottle ke liye do shell banti hain — ek chhota andar ka, ek bada bahar ka. Andar wale ko bahar wale ke andar daal kar mooh par weld kiya jaata hai.
Ab dono ke beech ek band khaali jagah hai. Bottle ko vacuum chamber mein daal kar us jagah se hawa nikaali jaati hai, aur base par bana chhota sa port permanently seal kar diya jaata hai.
Yahi bottle ka asli dil hai. Vacuum mein garmi guzar nahi sakti, isliye andar ka paani thanda rehta hai aur bahar ki deewar kamre ke temperature par. Agar yeh seal kabhi toot jaaye — zor ki chot se, ya baar-baar dishwasher se — to bottle bas ek bhaari simple bottle reh jaati hai, aur ise theek karna mumkin nahi.
Step 4: finishing aur assembly
- Polishing — bahar ki satah ko brush ya mirror finish diya jaata hai.
- Powder coating — rang chadhana ho to powder spray karke oven mein baked kiya jaata hai. Yeh paint se kaafi mazboot hota hai.
- Printing ya etching — logo ya naam ke liye UV printing ya laser etching.
- Dhakkan — alag se banta hai: plastic ya steel ka body, silicone ki ring, aur zaroorat ho to straw.
- Testing — leak test, aur thermal test jisme dekha jaata hai ki kitne ghante temperature rukta hai.
