What each page tells you

Flexnest lists the Air Compression Leg Massager at ₹6,499 against an MRP of ₹12,998. Its description says the device soothes feet, calves and thighs with customisable air compression, and mentions multiple modes, adjustable intensity and handheld control. Flexnest also sells a Flow leg massager at ₹9,999 and a Bliss foot massager at ₹12,999.

The ReHYV Pulse Pro is ₹29,999 list and ₹23,999 after its automatic 20% checkout reward, and publishes four zones running feet, ankles, calves, knees and thighs, seven pressure levels up to a published 240 mmHg, a controller with a full-colour LCD on each leg plus a wireless remote, each leg running independently, up to 120 minutes cordless on an internal battery, technical fabric with bonded seams and industrial Velcro, and a branded carry case. Support is a one-year India warranty with WhatsApp and phone in Indian hours.

Both claim foot-to-thigh coverage, which is the right shape for whole-leg recovery. The difference is that "multiple modes" and "adjustable intensity" are not quantities. You cannot compare them against another device, against a Normatec, or against what you will actually want on a Tuesday evening.

Why the numbers are the argument

Zone count decides whether a sleeve inflates broadly or runs a sequence up the limb. Four zones means the cycle steps feet, ankles, calves, knees and thighs rather than stepping over the knee. Pressure granularity decides whether you can find a setting you will sit through: seven levels to a stated 240 mmHg is a dial, three unnamed settings is a guess.

And cordless operation decides where the device gets used. A unit tethered to a socket lives in one corner of one room. One that runs two hours on a battery gets used on a sofa, which is the difference between a device you own and a device you use.

When Flexnest is the right buy

At ₹6,499 with foot-to-thigh coverage, this is a reasonable first compression device and a quarter of our price. If you want to find out whether you like the sensation before committing, that is money sensibly spent. We would rather you did that than spend ₹23,999 on control you never touch.

What to check before you buy either

Measure your calf and your thigh at the widest point and check both against the published sleeve range. This is the single most consequential number in the category and almost nobody checks it — a sleeve that cannot close properly on your leg delivers less effective pressure than a cheaper one that fits, which means a badly-fitted premium device performs worse than a well-fitted budget one. If a listing does not state a circumference range, ask before ordering.

Then ask two questions of whoever is selling it. What does a replacement sleeve or hose cost, and who fits it? Those are the parts that fail first on every device in this category regardless of price, and the answer tells you whether you are buying a product or a disposable. And check whether the unit runs on a battery if you intend to use it anywhere other than beside a plug socket.

One practical note on sizing that applies to both: leg circumference changes through the day and is larger in the evening, which is when most people use these. If you are at the top of a stated range in the morning, you are probably outside it at night.

The limit of this comparison

This compares what each company publishes, not how the devices perform. We have not tested a Flexnest unit and will not claim ours squeezes better than one we have not measured. What we can say is that one of these listings lets you check what you are buying.

When not to use one — the contraindications

Air compression is contraindicated in several conditions, and none of this matters if it is unsafe for you. Do not use one — and speak to a doctor — with any suspicion of a deep vein thrombosis (sudden swelling in one leg with warmth, redness or calf pain is a same-day medical problem, because a compressed clot can travel), severe peripheral arterial disease, an active infection, cellulitis or an open wound under the sleeve, uncontrolled heart failure, a recent fracture or leg surgery, reduced sensation including diabetic neuropathy, or during pregnancy without clearance.
