Manufacture With HYV — Contract Manufacturing for Insulated Drinkware

HYV manufactures and contract-manufactures insulated stainless steel drinkware in India. This page is for buyers who want product made or customised under their own brand — private label, white label, OEM and large corporate programmes. Contract manufacturing starts at 500 pieces. If you need fewer, branded ready stock starts at 25 units through the corporate gifting route instead.

Volume tiers

Volume decides what can be changed, not just what it costs. These bands are what each quantity typically opens up. Specifics are confirmed on your quote — treat this as the shape of the conversation, not a contract.

Tier Quantity What it typically opens up
Tier 1 500 – 999 Existing HYV bodies and lids in stock colourways, with your logo applied — laser engraving or printing. Your own insert or sleeve in the box.
Tier 2 1,000 – 2,499 Everything above, plus a custom body colour outside the existing range. Colour is its own minimum because it is a coating production run, separate from branding.
Tier 3 2,500 – 4,999 Plus fully custom retail packaging, and splitting one order across several SKUs or colourways.
Tier 4 5,000 – 9,999 Plus component-level combinations — lid, boot and body mixed to your specification — and staged delivery against a schedule rather than one drop.
Tier 5 10,000 – 19,999 Programme-level planning: a production slot booked against your launch date, and accessory bundling into the retail unit.
Tier 6 20,000+ Where bespoke tooling becomes worth discussing — a lid or body geometry that does not exist yet. Ask what the tooling costs and who owns it afterwards; we will answer that in writing.

What we make, and what we do not

We make: double-wall vacuum insulated stainless steel bottles and tumblers, with a food-grade 304 interior; sipper, chug, flip, straw and magnetic lid formats; silicone boots and replacement lids as components.

We do not make: plastic or Tritan bodies, glass, ceramic, mugs, or any sealed bottle below 750ml. If your brief needs one of those, we are not the right factory and will say so on the first call rather than after your deposit.

Certification, stated accurately

IS 17526:2021 is the Indian standard for vacuum-insulated stainless steel flasks. A licence is granted per model, not to a brand or a factory — so it cannot be added to an arbitrary build on request, and any supplier offering to "make it BIS certified" as a line item is describing something the scheme does not issue. HYV makes BIS-certified insulated steel bottles. If certification matters to your programme, say so in the brief and we will tell you which route is open to you before you commit.

What to have ready

A quote is only as good as the brief. Seven things decide the number, and a supplier who quotes without them is guessing:

  1. Construction — single wall, or vacuum double wall.
  2. Capacity and body diameter. Diameter matters if it has to fit a car cup holder; 70–73 mm is the usual ceiling.
  3. Lid format — existing, or new. If new, tooling is a fixed cost spread across the order.
  4. Branding method — engraving outlasts print; print carries colour. Placement and number of colours.
  5. Quantity and delivery schedule — one drop or staged.
  6. Packaging — poly bag, printed sleeve, or rigid box.
  7. Colour — an existing colourway, or new.

And the question that protects you most: ask for a physical branded sample before approving the full run. A logo that looks right in a mock-up can sit wrong on a curved surface. We expect to be asked.

How it runs

  1. Brief — the form below, with your artwork link.
  2. Quote — against the seven points above, in writing.
  3. Sample — a physical branded unit for approval.
  4. Production — against a confirmed schedule.
  5. Delivery — one drop or staged, with a replacement path for defective units agreed up front.

Artwork and references

Paste a link to your logo files, design references or mood board — Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer or a shared folder. Vector formats (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG) reproduce best; a PNG at 1000 px or more is usually workable.

If the attachment field does not go through, send the files to support@livehyv.com with your company name in the subject and we will match them to your brief.

Questions we get asked

What is the minimum order? 500 pieces for contract manufacturing. Branded ready stock starts at 25 units through corporate gifting, which is a different route and a different page.

Can you match a competitor’s product? We will tell you honestly whether a given shape is something we can build, and where it would differ. We do not copy another manufacturer’s tooling.

Do you do private label and white label? Yes — both, and they are different things. White label is our existing product under your brand; private label is built to your specification. The tiers above describe how far from our existing product you can move at each volume.

Can we see the factory? Ask in the brief.

What about GST? A vacuum-insulated steel bottle sits in HSN 9617 at 18%. Non-vacuum steel tableware under 7323 moved to 5% on 22 September 2025. Confirm your exact classification with your own accountant.
